Fees vary depending on the circumstances and the issues involved.  The initial consultation is always free.

Hourly Rate

If a matter is going to be handled on hourly rate, our typical hourly rate is $150.00.  We require an advance of $750.00 to cover the first five hours of work.  That rate does not include any court or related costs. 

Contingent Fee

If a matter is going to be handled on a contingent fee basis, you pay nothing until the matter is resolved in your favor.  Contingent fee arrangements are usually made in personal injury cases.  In these cases the contingent fee starts at 33% of the award received, less costs.  If an appeal is required, the contingent fee is increased to 45% of the award, less costs.

Flat Fee

You may have an issue that is routine.  If that is the case, then a flat fee can be arranged for the handling of the entire matter.  Typical examples are: name changes, deeds or establishing a business entity.
